Matariki
In Te Maunga we went on a trip to the Waitangi Treaty Ground with Te Tahuna for Matariki. When we got there we did planting, playing games and did some weaving. We went to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds to learn about Matariki and how it is celebrated. We played maui matau and also mu Torere. I learnt different maori games. I even got taught how to weave fish which was really cool and I found out that Matariki means Maori New year. We went to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds to learn about Matariki and how it is celebrated. At the end we had some kai..

RS-Mere
On the start of week 3 we were learning our new topic for inquiry. We went to the beach with another class. We studied and looked at the rocky pools. We came back with a whole lot more information. We made a google drawing about our rocky shore and we compared it with a tidy rocky shore where not so many people go to. One of them was there were less life and plants. We were learning about how as kaitiaki help our rocky shore safe.

Maths goals
At the beginning of term 2 we had to make our maths goals. I chose some I did not achieve last term and some others that I didn’t achieved. I have six goals all up. I have achieved some goals so far. Our WALT was create our own maths goals.
Writing goals
At the beginning of term 2 we had to choose our own writing and spelling goals. When the whole class had finished their writing goals they have to choose some spelling goals just like they had to choose some writing and spelling goals. When they all know their goals they get to make some new goals. Our WALT was to choose our own goals.
